  1. The response to disasters is all important, everything can be a learning curve if we are open to it. Like me last week, picking up my laptop case along with much hasty gathering of other paraphernalia…. a brief moment I thought, that feels light and then I quickly counteracted that thought with that other bag is heavy…. so all went into my car boot. Late night, weary body, raucous raining and cold, big boot. Two days later I went to retrieve my working world from the boot only to discover the laptop bag, yep, you guessed it… was light for a very good reason. Hmm, still pondering how, why and where, but at least I hope to let the thought process percolate long enough in my weary mind next time to discover why weights and balances don’t always add up.
